エグチジュンコさんとWATERMARK
エグチさんはご近所さんでお客様として時々来廊くださっていました。「数年前から版画を作っているんです」と伺ったのは数年前最。創形美術学校で版画を学び、卒業後は制作をやめてしまったけど、再び描き始めたと、インスタの画像で作品を見せてもらったらびっくり。私が以前からフォローしていたアカウントで、いわゆる美大で学んだタイプの作風でないこと、キャプションは英語、カウント名が記号だったためてっきり海外の作家だと思いこんでいて、どうやったら作品を直に見れるのだろうと探していた作家さんでした。まさかギャラリーから５分の所に住んでる方とは！ 2020年に個展をお願いしました。彼女にとっても初個展。女性作家は、出産家庭介護など乗り越えなくてはならない局面が多々ありますが、それらが一段落した後、作家活動をスタートさせることができるんだという多くの女性へのエールになるんじゃないかと思っています。
