島田作品はいくつか持っており、4年ほど前に思い切ってお声をかけてみました。初めて会った島田さんは、初対面とは思えないほど人懐っこい性格で、その場の空気をゆるっと和ませてしまいます。そう作品そのもの。島田さんの作品はいわゆる定番がなく、遊び心満載ですが、毎回新しい形に挑戦して、見る人をふわっとさせる。実はこれってとても難しいことだと思います。
