この度、初めてWATERMARKで古屋真美さんの作品を紹介します。
私たちの身近な衣服、そのほとんどは大量生産の既製服ですが、袖を通すたびに体に馴染み、持ち主の気持ちに寄り添い、様々な過去を共有するうちに唯一無二になってゆく。そんな作者の思いが、リトグラフという版から生まれる複数性の作品へと再生させる行為に形象化されているようです。そして、ファストファッションが問題視されている現在、簡単に廃棄されてしまう服たちへの抗いのようにも見えます。
今回、架空の女性の部屋を再現するような展示を試み、作者の世界を表現したいと思います。ぜひご高覧ください。

古屋真美
個人の所有する衣服をモチーフにリトグラフを制作、それらとの適切な距離を考えています。
1994年山梨県生まれ。2020年武蔵野美術大学大学院造形研究科修士課程美術専攻版画コース卒業。2021 版画工房「LITTLE PRESS STUDIO」オープン。
